Microsoft stated that it planned to release Windows 10X devices by the end of 2020. Xbox OS is an unofficial name given to the version of Windows that runs on Xbox consoles. It was originally based on NT 6.2 kernel, and the latest version runs on an NT 10.0 base. Windows 3.0, released in 1990, improved the design, mostly because of virtual memory and loadable virtual device drivers that allow Windows to share arbitrary devices between multi-tasked DOS applications.
